Nunyara Wellbeing Centre will install closed circuit television security cameras this week after vandals attacked the centre for the seventh time this year.

Workers arrived at the centre early this morning to an all too familiar scene of shattered glass and extensive damage.

The thugs managed to cause significant damage to the reception front door and also to guttering within the complex, in what has been a string of senseless attacks to rock the centre over the past six months.

Nunyara Wellbeing Centre manager, Cindy Zbierski, said she has had a gut-full of it and will be taking proactive measures to keep the offenders at bay.

“I’ve already made enquiries and we’ll be installing security cameras this week,” Ms Zbierski said.

“That is the direction we’re taking to combat these attacks, we’ve had enough, and this will help to identify them and lead to their arrest.”

Neighbours are being urged to contact Crime Stoppers as well as the local police when reporting suspicious behaviour at the centre.

More reports received by police about attacks on the building will enable them to step up patrols in the area.
