We all lead busy lives with our own families, work and other commitments and very often forget that an aging parent living alone can fall victim to accident or crime.
Over the years we get so used to our parents doing things for us and being there for us that we can fail to notice that they are growing older and becoming less independent. Just think of what could befall them in the home. They could slip in the kitchen, fall ill and not be able to get out of bed. There could even be an intruder that regularly enters the home that they are unaware of. Another thing to consider is an elderly parent's driving skills. Are you aware of how they are driving the car these days? A very good way of checking this is to install a car camera that not only records the car’s journey but also records the driver inside the car.  Using an SD card you can review their driving and see for yourself how competent they are, and if there is a problem you can show them the footage.
